i would try to think about something that she would be interested in and something that she can get through customs.
also, something that she will be able to keep and something that will remind her of her visit! something that is not available to her in india, perhaps.
i’m not sure what this gift may be, but these are just what i would look for in a gift.
maybe a tin of hershsy’s chocolates! she could enjoy the chocolates and then still have the tin! that’s pretty american.
or, take her shopping and see what she might like…maybe you can teach her to use an ipod!!!

Ur the best answer 4 that is…………..ask Ur Mom or rather think of what she might/could be able 2 use when she’s home again….I find that that is the very best solution 2 a ??? as this 1….& it usually never fails….& when it does its the famous answer ~” Ur the only present I need & I’m here with U & Ur family…thats all I need……” The other option is maybe buying her a cell phone if she doesn’t already have1…like a Tracfone…..or if U have 1 then maybe adding her 2 Urs as in a family plan.
Whatever U decide hope it works out 4 the both of U…
